On the final day I start to look at every minute detail and get really nit picky. I’ll touch up this spot and that spot and when I feel I’m done, will walk away from it for a few minutes, come back with fresh eyes and find another spot or two (or three) to touch up, et voila, Penni…

“There’s my dog!” Today I keep adding to the layers of fur spending more time on shadows and highlights to help create the illusion of depth… Even got some whiskers in there. Penni – Day 4

Here’s where all of the layering begins. For the next couple of days I add layer upon layer, colour upon colour, hair by hair until you see your fur baby emerge from the “patchwork quilt”.

Here’s where I get into the stage I like to refer to as, “Are you sure that’s my pet?” This is the day I begin to lay the groundwork by blocking in sections of colour so your fur baby will more closely resemble a patchwork quilt than him/herself.

When I am interested in getting something like this done, I get online and do all the research. I look up the pricing, how long it’s going to take, “Oh look there’s photo tips, great I can see that too.” This way I know what I’m getting myself into. I find it exciting to see a…
